A Lunch Date at Beach Burrito Company (346 Victoria street, Darlinghurst NSW); All photos taken by me on my Nikon D60 with Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens
Chilling out and relaxing with friends are one of my favourite things to do, so me and Betty did what we did best when we visited the Beach Buritto Company down in Darlinghurst a few weeks ago.
We ordered like experts - Hot Chips topped with Chilli, with fresh sour cream and guacamole and we topped it with chilli flakes; a cheesy prawn enchilada served with corn chips and finally a fish taco topped with crisp salad. All meals were plentiful and fresh and super tasty. We sat down in big booths meant for big groups of friends but it was just me and my friend Betty munching on the good food and gossiping about boys and baking adventures and work and boys and more boys. We sure did alot of girly giggling.
This Sunday, I planned with Reeni to go out and buy a cheap Longboard to try out our skateboarding/balancing skills. And we will watch a lot of youtube tutorials and hopefully at least master standing on a skateboard without falling over. This week all I've been fascinating about is me skate boarding down a hill we have in the local area, and how liberating it will feel when I get to the bottom of that hill. It might take months or years to master but for some reason every time I fantasise I realise I wear a big goofy grin on my face like a little kid. I am so happy about starting this new sport even though I have fear and doubt in me.
But that's the thing about me - I'm always scared shitless about everything but once I warm up to it, I find my courage again and enjoy every bit of it. Like when I started dealing Roulette at work, all I needed was a little push and encouragement. My friend Nanita always had faith that I'd like Roulette once I warmed up to it and she was pretty darn right.
Wish me luck this Sunday!
Oh, now I'm so hungry!
