Fitness First Australia Giveaway #changeforthebest 2014. This post has been sponsored and in partnership with Fitness First Australia
Coming into the new year in style, I have stuck to a fitness lifestyle I started back in 2013. I promised myself to become fit, healthy and live a lifestyle in which I look after myself. I want to become the best person I can be in every aspect, and to not look back.
To do this, I have been heading out to the gym at least 3-4 times a week with a vision to tone my body shape and to build my endurance and stamina. I set out to work out my shoulders, biceps, triceps, chest, back, core and legs with a series of strength training exercises and resistance. When I want to build my endurance I use the cross-runner, treadmill and bike. I've cut down on my alcohol consumption and my fast foods. I head outside more to enjoy the sun, get good rest and I opt for beach and coastal walks.
I now have a more positive outlook for life, I feel great and I don't cringe when I look in the mirror. I feel my body changing and I feel I have more energy and positivity.
My Fitness Goals for 2014 is to keep at what I'm currently doing through to the end of the year and hopefully implement this lifestyle so well that I carry it on for the rest of my life.
So it comes at perfect timing that Fitness First has partnered with myself and my blog to spread the word on #changeforthebest and how fantastic life can be when positive changes happen.
Not only are Fitness First encouraging people out there to #changeforthebest, but they have implicated some new features into their already successful Gym programs, such as a Pay as You Go (PAYG) system and a fitness guarantee for their members. They've created a fantastic new company logo, introduced new state-of-the-art gym equipment and are now providing more in-depth support and inspiration to their members to help achieve their 2014 fitness goals through the new 'Fitness First New You Achievement Awards'. Members can pledge their 2014 fitness goals and share their own motivational stories and achievements via this link.
And to help motivate my readers to stick to their fitness goals this year, I have personally selected four items to be included into a huge prize packet for one Australian Reader out there, valued at over $500 AUD.
The prize includes:
1x Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7”

I would really love to #changeforthebest and this is my year!
ReplyDeleteI have three children ranging in age from 3 to 9.
I used to use the excuse that I didn’t have the time for exercise, and the kids take all my energy etc.
Although I cook every night (with the occasional take-away about once per month), I wasn’t exercising.
Then late last year, I had a health scare. I found a lump in my breast and it turned my world upside down. Thankfully its benign, but the shock of that really got me thinking about how short life is, and just how unprepared my body would be if I had to fight against anything.
So I made the choice to get up and do something about it. We bought a Wii console and I now dance along to Wii Dance with my daughters. My husband also bought a treadmill for Christmas and I get up every morning before the kids are awake and I walk for 3 kms. It may not sound much to some, but it is 3kms more each day than I was doing previously! :)
My goals are to improve on my core strength and to tone-up my body overall, and my main goal is to be a good example to my children.
I would use this prize to further encourage and help myself. I always say I’d die for my kids, but what I really want to do is live for them. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
What a cool giveaway! I am obsessed with Womens Fitness so a years subscription would be the absolute best.
ReplyDeleteI have two fitness goals which I set for myself to work towards for the year. The first is to do pull ups. The second is to do a headstand (I've started going to yoga so this is my yoga related goal, while the push ups are my gym goal).
I have two goals for this year - enjoy fitness and run 15km! The former is going well, so hopefully the latter will follow!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful giveaway! my goal is to run 20 km :-) i wish you a fantastic day! kisses & hugs to you.

I have been going to the gym about three times a week as well, but my Fitness Goal for the year 2014 is to maintain my fitness throughout the uni semester, and make sure I get my butt to the gym as well as eat well and pack lunches!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have abs by the end of the year, but it's not an appearance thing, I just want to #changeforthebest!

My goal is pretty boring and simple: to get healthy again (I have surgery on 21 Feb :S)
ReplyDeleteFitness has slipped with a couple of sedate years. My aims are to walk a little further every day and eventually get back to walking around Albert Park Lake in under 45 minutes.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I'll match my mother with heart surgery in my 50's...

Sculpt my arms,
ReplyDeleteAnd give them some shape
Build a strong muscle tone
And not be so worried about weight!
Mine is to become more toned. I eat very well but I think I would benefit from some more muscle. Strength is really important for everything!

ReplyDeleteI am going to start running. I already go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week but it's time I upped my fitness level and start doing some running and challenging cardio.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to win.

ReplyDeleteTo get in shape and start feeling great. Learn to run and have some fun all in my days workout.
ReplyDeleteI'm making 2014 the start of healthy lifestyle forever more, as this girl needs to not take health for granted - until it was almost too late.
ReplyDeleteMy goals are to remain to committed to doing any exercise. On the days that I am not feeling up for it - I will walk up the stairs, or park the car further away at the shops.

ReplyDelete#changeforthebest my husband & I are committed this year to slimming down by eating healthier, motivate & train together each day.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually starting a self defence class next week. Something I've been wanting to do for ages!!
ReplyDeleteMy fitness goal is a simple one – I want to get back to my wedding-day weight. I think I’ve looked after myself well so far, considering I’ve been married for 18 years and had 2 kids! To achieve my goal I need to lose 6kg.
ReplyDeleteI would really love to get back into running after a knee problem, back into reaching 10km's within 1hour at least 5 days a week.
ReplyDeleteI would love to get into running - I've never been a runner, but so many non-running friends are now running and loving it! So maybe I should give it a try!
ReplyDeleteMy fitness goal is to put on muscle. At 58kgs, and 6ft, I'm less a man and more a toothpick :/
ReplyDeleteWould love to achieve my goal this year of losing 15kg so I can live a more active & healthy life.
ReplyDeleteMy health and fitness goals this year are to eat healthier and exercise on the weekends (because that is when I get lazy).
ReplyDeleteI would like to be able to do any walk up any steep hill and not have it knock me out for the day. That might sound crazy, but there are LOTS of hills where I live!
ReplyDelete#changeforthebest Motivation and walking the dogs everyday..purchase better food choices and Tai Chi for the mind
ReplyDeleteAfter having a baby, my fitness goal is to tone my body, especially my thighs and stomach area. If I can do that, I'll be a very happy woman!
ReplyDeleteMy fitness goal for 2014 is a family goal. Many weekend walks and activities for all the members of this family. Not only does it get all the hearts racing its quality family time that counts. Sometimes I feel that going off on my own away from the family to exercise is wasting family time. So now it's one in, all in! This way its not only exercise its fun. This exercise will not only continue through 2014, but healtier families live longer.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is simple, to look like Thor, the God of Thunder by the end of the year!
ReplyDeleteI just turned 40 and need to lower my cholesterol, I need to exercise more and eat much better. My biggest problem is finding exercise that I enjoy and will continue doing.

i have started involving my pre-teen daughter in my fitness pursuits (without her really knowing) to make her view exercise as just a part of day to day life...they payoff has been quality time to talk with her and light exercise for the two of us. WIN WIN! #changeforthebest
ReplyDeleteMy fitness goals for 2014 is to lose my pregnancy weight because I wanna be a MILF and not a frumpy mummy :D
ReplyDeleteMy #changeforthebest 2014 goal is to get fit, better my health, get abs and look great all year round and hopefully inspire other people to do the same.
ReplyDeleteI've been hitting the gym 6 days a week for the last 6 months doing both weights and cardio. Each day would be a different exercise aiming for different areas of my body.
My Fitness Goal for 2014: Educate my children about fitness and exercise. My 3 year old said "mummy exercise cos she got fat tummy!". I want to teach them that we exercise for reasons other than looking good (eg health, strength, co-ordination, mental health, having more energy etc). I want to promote a healthy and fun lifestyle with them, and I want them to grow up with body confidence. I will talk positively about my body "look at mummy's strong arms!" rather than moan about my wobbly bits. We will also engage in more family-friendly fitness activities like bike riding, hikes, swimming etc. Cliffnotes version: I want to positively promote exercise to my kids :)
ReplyDeleteI am wanting to maintain my weight and figure arballantyne@dodo.com.au
ReplyDeleteLess cakes and pies
ReplyDeleteMore exercise
Less taking it slow
More get up and go
Much less of me
Much more healthy!
My fitness goal is to go from couch potato to being much more active, having fun with the kids and keeping up with them. 2014 will be the year this Mum starts her future as an active role model.
ReplyDeleteMy main fitness goal for 2014 is not to change my size, my shape or a number on the scales. No, it's to change my mindset, and I'm using my favourite film Cinderella for inspiration! Instead of casting myself as the plain girl in rags locked away and forgotten, I’m letting my confidence out to the ball! When the clock strikes midnight, or I meet setbacks along the way, I won’t despair – because I know that in the end the (running) shoe fits and I will get my happily ever after! In a nutshell, it’s all about a positive mindset to set everything in motion for me this year :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance, amazing prizes!!!
