As I have mentioned so many times lately, Winter is ending! I keep celebrating by heading to the beach in the morning and playing on the swings like a little kid. I was sent some very cute clear lenses glasses from Firmoo to play around with and I am a very satisfied glasses wearer. I'm wearing mine to add a 'cuter' touch to my looks (something I don't often do) and teaming it with an even cuter Panda printed t-shirt from Storets. I am just so bloody  happy Winter is ending and so far my wardrobe is reflecting it.

This is my first ever 'Instagram collage' for the blog. To be honest I've been very resistant about sharing my Instagram photos here because I personally like using DSLR photos and leaving the iphone photos for my Facebook Page and Twitter. And I've been on Instagram for almost a year now before the 'hype' happened.  Yet I realised I couldn't carry my heavy DSLR around no matter how strong I think my shoulders are so I have captured special moments using the iphone more often than I have thought. 

Like for example, my fisheye photo from Katoomba (photo no. 3). It was extra windy that day and I would've put my life at risk if I had attempted a 'selfie' photo using a chunky DSLR. I would've have, definitely been blown away or my arms would've snapped under the heavy weight. Like I've mentioned plenty of times, I am a clumsy, clumsy girl. So DSLR + selfie + windy day on the high peak of mountain = natural disaster.

The Last Week of Winter in Sydney

The last week of Winter in Sydney is finally here and it has actually been kind to us over the past two months, blessing us with strong sunshine and little clouds.
I've already started planning mini beach roadtrips, picnics along the coast and brunches by the beach with the boy and my friends. And to keep preparing myself, I bought myself some Beach Boys music and rocking to the sounds of 'Don't worry baby', 'California Girls', 'Surfin USA' and 'Kokomo' whilst I drive. All I need now are some crispy cold Corona beers with a lemon in it. Time to celebrate the end of Winter in Sydney! And that includes busting out some classic Winter fur staples before I store it away (i.e my Vinetti vest).

A Runway Show: Sydney Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Trends (Spring/Summer Collection 2012/2013)

Sitting where I was at the show on Opening night, I was lucky to get my camera as close as possible to capture all the impeccable details of the garments the designers had to offer. We are Handsome's set of girls walked out fiercely to the sound of Coldplay's & Rhianna's Princess of China to ensure dramatic impact with their visors and statement swimwear. What a start to the show. By Johnny was sophisticated and playful at the same time - a nice mix of classic feminine structure with playful prints. My favourites included Bowie, it was the first time I ever viewed his collection but the detail was breathtaking, especially with the metal beads and ostrich feathers sitting on the shoulders.
The finale included a larger collection from Akira, which included geisha models walking in kimonos and grande silk dresses. They were equipped with amazing paper umbrellas as they walked under floating butterfly paper confetti. It was a dreamy, mystical and perfect end to the show.
