I've had a crazy day of bush walking yesterday; me and my friends drove an hour to Katoomba to walk the Golden Stairs and the Ruined Castle. It took us 5 hours to trek and we stopped at the Ruined Castle for lunch (pork roll, strawberries and blueberries). I would not recommend the final staircase to the very top at the very end though. I imagined it was 800 steps and I remember cursing myself for letting me being talked into it... because my thighs were burning and my breath was short.
However, the view at the Ruined Castle is spectacular, as you get a 360 degree view of Katoomba and the valley. A very peaceful view and in the end, it was a worthwhile trip.
Today I am physically and mentally drained; I slept at 4AM last night and couldn't function after my bush walking adventure (I kept stumbling and getting light headed by the time it was 2AM). Yet I am still a sucker for heels so here I am in my Skittle coloured outfit and studded heels. Old habits never die, no matter how tired I am.
