Wearing: Vintage Peach Blouse (from Melbourne); OASAP FLower Shape Shorts thanks to OASAP; Studded Shoes from Wittner; Floral headband (similar here), for hair and one wrapped around wrist (from Chinatown, Sydney); Bambi Necklace from La Petite Mademoiselle; Love Forever! lipstick from MAC; Disney Watch thanks to Disney
As I was decided what to wear to my first ever Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Sydney, I was actually freaking out. I was asked to sit front row for the first time in my life and I felt the pressure.. for as you know, I am a simple gal from a simple town. Ok no not really, I'm from out west in Sydney - Cabramatta to be more exact; and that area isn't exactly fashion capital of the world!). I was considering that I might need to go in couture or some sort of 'high fashion' but after some consolidating tweets and facebook comments from friends to my dilemma, I decided to go exactly as myself and what I thought would look good. I opted for an all pastel look, with sweet touches - a loose blouse, scalloped shorts and lots of flowers. In the end I was very glad in the outfit I chose, as I found my floral headband from Chinatown (a very pleasing $13) complimented my balayage hair and soft curls. I got many lovely compliments from my my peers so that made me relieved and I now know that I should always dress as myself (whether its in simple vintage or a $13 floral headband) for whatever event it is I go to.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very cute outfit! The flowery headband, blouse, and shorts are all cute on you. Delivering a serious statement are those strappy pumps. I love those! They really add a kick of personality apart from the otherwise subtle and sweet outfit you're wearing here. Beautiful, Natalie!
