Spring comes and one remembers one's Innocence

Spring is here and I am thinking of how innocence sometimes blossoms. I like to think of this as the season for change, plans, projects, 2nd chances and for being reborn.
I have pledged that I will stay home more often to spend time with my dogs and to appreciate home-cooked food. I have also pledged that I will dedicate more time to work on the blog (up to at least 3 hours a day), I pledged to clean up my room at least once a week and not at the end of every month. These all seem very achievable thus far.. but there is one pledge I seem to keep breaking - to try and resist my old habits.
I've developed some habits over my 20's and even though I've see it as a vital part of me, I try once in a blue moon not to stray, even though I want to so, so badly. I try to give my innocent self a 2nd chance and a chance to be reborn.
Yet, my attempts come crashing down sometimes and I make it worse. So it always teaches me to never try to resist being myself, even if I do not always approve that side of me.
So then I'm left with the conclusion... if I cannot by myself, then seriously, what is the point of living? I need to keep accepting the good and bad in me, the light side and the dark, and accept that both together, make up a perfect and happy ME.
