A Lunch: Mothers Day with Deshabille Sleepwear and Pink Hope @ Pink Salt Double Bay
The other week, I was so lucky to attend the Mothers Day Deshabille Sleepwear and Pink Hope lunch down at Pink Salt in Double Bay.
Although I wasn't able to bring my mother for the lunch, I still enjoyed the company of my fellow bloggers and their mothers. I took in the time to soak in the similarities of mothers and daughters and the way they both smiled the same way, laughed the same way and had their little insider jokes. It made me think of my own mom laughing at her own lame jokes back at home.
We got introduced to the head designer for Deshabille sleepwear and the founder of Pink Hope the charity. Pink Hope is the first Australian community designed to encourage, support and create awareness about womens' ovarian and breast cancer. It is also a place for high risk women to connect and feel supported. This is a charity I knew was special, as I have close friends in my life that have had their family sadly affected by cancer.
As well as beautiful sleepwear already in their latest range, Deshabille sleepwear also have sleepwear designed in conjunction with Pink Hope (a pretty pink butterfly print). When you jump on the website, make sure to look out for those limited edition PJs because 50% of the proceeds are donated to Pink Hope. And in August they will be releasing their 2nd Pink Hope collection. How exciting!
With all this on mind, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Pink Salt - I ordered the Wagyu Beef as my main, and a Coconut and Lime Parfait with mango and coconut snow. I also captured the other two desserts Olivers Twist and Passion-fruit Meringue. Pink Salt really knows how to make desserts into art. And taste like heaven Perfect for every Mother and Daughter out there with a sweet tooth.
