Dantosa Blue Mountains Retreat (via Airbnb). Photos taken by myself and Hai with Canon 70D DSLR.

For our two years anniversary, my amazing boyfriend Hai surprised me with a two night stay at Dantosa Blue Mountains Retreat. Although it is only an hour drive away for us it felt like such a world away.

Hai had booked out the cabin that slept 8 people for just the two of us. It was an old farmers house, with the sweet farmer's charm. One wall of the living room actually leaned forward and wood paneling and timber floors adorned the whole house. Plenty of natural light flooded the rooms and had a view overlooking the lake. It was so peaceful and calm and so far from the life I had at home. I loved it.

On the property, there was a lake. And sitting on top was a picture perfect floating Lake House with a deck, lounge and fire place. Other guests visited while we were there, we saw smoke billowing from the chimney and they lounged around laughing and chatting (the group was a lucky wedding party!).

Me and Hai spent the first day exploring the secluded retreat and the Lake House and we came home to enjoy wine and each other's company.

The next day we went hiking at the nearby Blue Mountains - a hobby me and Hai proudly share. We put on our boots and walked for two hours along the Clifftop track overlooking a valley of trees. Every once in a while Hai and I would take a break to sit and admire the view (and to take a breather).

We spent our weekend eating our favourite comfort food, drinking soy lattes while playing games and reading books. We admired the view and enjoyed the peace, all snuggled up in our blankets.

Thank you Hai for such a wonderful trip together, I really appreciate the thought and effort you put into picking this amazing retreat. I am one really lucky girl.
